Bonita M. Brown, School Test Coordinator

My Career Highlights include:   I grew up in Boston, and taught school for 20 years beginning in 1966, in Connecticut, New York City, Michigan, and Long Island before moving to South Carolina in 1986.  I have worked in Greenwood District 50 for the past 35 years as a school counselor and secondary math teacher at Greenwood HS (1986-2005), Emerald HS (2005-2013), Westview MS (2/2013 – 6-2013), and Greenwood HS (2013 - 2016).  Since 2013, I have served as School Test Coordinator at Genesis Education Center.  Fifty-five years have come and gone so quickly.   My focus in education is to:   "Motivate, engage, and empower students in their learning."     I enjoy assisting you on your journey.  

My Educational Preparation includes:

Bachelor of Arts in Education and Mathematics:  College of Notre Dame, Maryland  (SC certified in Secondary Mathematics)

Master of Science in Counselor Education + 30:         Fordham University at Lincoln Center, New York   (SC certified in Elementary, Secondary, and Secondary Advanced Guidance and Counseling)
